Bullies"M-my mommy said that bullies are just cowards!" Queko said bravely, though she stuttered a bit at the beginning of the sentence.  "Your mom's stupid," the red-head said, folding his arms across his chest.  Queko blinked blankly for a moment, then bristled. "Hey! Take that back! My mom is NOT stupid!" she protested.  The red-head in question was Akeno, a new kid at Queko's elementary school. He was, like Queko had previously said, a bully. He was quite rude to everyone, even the teachers, and pushed the other kids around. Queko thought he was a bit of an egotist; he was constantly bragging about how his dad was a king and how h Bullies

Meet Me At My WindowIvan called to say that Darren couldn't come over that day, or even the next. When Darren asked why, Ivan explained that he was snowed in by a freak snowstorm. They exchanged a few parting words, each promising to meet again as soon as Ivan was un-snowed in.   
Darren hung up the phone, staring at it with a troubled look on his face. It was only two days, he thought, and snow doesn't last forever. At least, he hoped it didn't last forever.   
Those two days turned into a week. The snow had started to disappear, but then another cold front had swept in again, bringing another snowstorm around Ivan's neighborhood.  They Meet Me At My Window

PurgatoryPapa Ocean was yelling. His face was twisted in anger, and his wild hand gestures nearly sent a lamp spinning. Atlantis tried to flinch away from him, but Papa Ocean grabbed his arm and held him there while he screamed.  "PEOPLE DIED, ATLANTIS! PEOPLE DIED!"  Mama was yelling too, but at Papa. "Let him go! You're going to hurt him!" Atlantis just stood there, shaking, listening to the yelling. His insides had turned to ice and his brain had shut off. He didn't even remember why Papa was mad, and why mama had tears in her eyes as she tried to stop papa from shaking him. But the yelling and shaking went on, and then Mama shoved papa. Purgatory

Three things I want to tell people but am too chicken to do it:

1. I know I hurt you, and I know you probably hate me for it even though you said you don't. I don't blame you for not wanting to be my friend anymore-- I wouldn't either. I don't know why I did what I did-- I was confused and I didn't know what you were doing.. and I lied, didn't I. yeah, I know I did and I suck for it and there's no excuse for it. but I'm sorry. it's not enough though. it's never enough, is it?

2. I'm trying so hard not to be mad at you. It's stupid to be mad at you-- BUT DAMMIT. That hurt. You got my hopes up and then you pushed them down and it hurts. I wish I'd never even told you. It ruined a friggin' great relationship and now I'm scared of you. Scared of you hurting me again. And so I try to get over you so you'll have no way of hurting me again. ..Except, of course, through the ever pleasant 'best friend' link.

3. I wish I could hate you. Very, very much so. But I can't and you can't hate me either-- even though I asked you to. Mm.. well. I think the only thing to say here is: I was right. We really are bad for each other.
